Description

Biography
Frans Rase (c.1913-18 - c.1991-94) was a Swedish painter whose work appears primarily on the regional Scandinavian art market. He may have studied under Otte Sköld and at the University of California.
He is known for still lifes, landscapes, and interior scenes, characterised by expressive brushwork and eye-catching use of colour. His work reflects a broader tradition of mid-century European painters working outside major institutional recognition while maintaining a consistent artistic practice.
