His brother, Nils Kemner, went on to become a noted entomologist, but Helge took an artistic path instead, training first in Copenhagen between 1906 and 1907 before spending time in Munich and Dachau. A longer period of study followed in Paris from 1910, and in 1921 he made a study trip to Italy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eKemner's reputation rests chiefly on the landscapes he painted around \u003cem\u003eRomeleåsen\u003c\/em\u003e. It became something of a personal territory for him.
